The first core Switch RPGs in the Pokémon series were announced during this morning’s Pokémon Nintendo Direct presentation, held in honor of the franchise’s birthday. Pokémon turns 23 today, with the original Game Boy games having launched in Japan on Feb. 27, 1996.
